Chincoteague Island is known for great fishing and there are many places and a variety of saltwater fish that make the inland waters near Assateague some of the best for calm saltwater fishing. Flounder fishing is good from early April through October. You don't have to be an expert, we will even assist you by helping you bait your hook. If you prefer to catch and release your fish that's O.K. We supply the rods and reels, bait and tackle. No fishing license required aboard. We target different species of fish as the seasons change and there are many quality fishing areas to choose from around Chincoteague when it comes to pursuing fish along Assateague's back waters. Many popular gamefish concentrate in the waters near Assateague including Stripped Bass, Speckled Trout, Sea Trout, Red Drum, Black Drum, Croaker and other fish. |
