Come and enjoy a day on the shallow saltwater flats of the beautiful "forgotten coast". Redfish, Spotted Sea Trout, and Tarpon are the most sought after sport fish in the Big Bend area of the Florida Panhandle. A number of other species including Cobia, Jack Crevalle, Triple Tail, Flounder, Lady Fish, and Spanish Mackerel are caught at various times of the year. Season, winds, weather, and tides all play an important role in what's biting. Redfish can be found pushing a wake, cruising over a sandy bottom, or tailing. Sight casting with an eight or nine weight fly rod or a light tackle spinning rod to a tailing Redfish equals the challenge of the hard fighting Bonefish. |
