Captain Bob Egger is a USCG licensed Master Captain. He has 30 years experience fishing the coastal and offshore waters from Sandy Hook, NJ to the Florida Keys. He has been the owner and captain of the Spunky II for 15 years. He is a consistent producer of fish for his customers. He and his crew have the ability and know how to locate and get even stubborn fish to bite. Captain Bob is a knowledgeable fisherman and author of "Mid Atlantic Madness" (September 2001) and "Living on the Edge" (Novemver 2001) as published in Big Game Fishing Journal.
About the Boat The Spunky II is a 35' Bertram Sport fishing boat. Our boat is powered by twin turbo CAT Diesels and while others may claim to be fast the Spunky is fast and attains speeds to 31 knots! This means less travel time to and from the grounds and more fishing time for you. The boat is tournament rigged and equipped with the latest electronics including Dual GPS, Radar, Loran, Dual VHF, Auto Pilot, Dual Color Fish Finders, and Chart Plotter. We are very safety minded and we carry a USCG/Solas 'A' 8 Man Life raft and an EPIRB. Our large salon features heat and A/C, conventional and microwave ovens, TV/VCR, Stereo CD and refrigerator. Spunky has a large cockpit and wide beam so there is plenty of room. We use Shimano TLD reels inshore and Penn International II gold reels offshore. All bait and tackle is included with every charter.
