Maryland - Chesapeake Bay

The Chesapeake Bay stretches from southern Virginia to northern Maryland, about 180 miles long. Interestingly, the Bay is just 22 feet
deep on average. The Susquehanna River, which runs into the bay, provides it the biggest source of fresh water. Chesapeake Bay fishermen enjoy fishing mainly for striped bass which are known in the region as rockfish.
