Hello Fish Fans, The Sailfishing off the coast of Stuart Florida is as good as it gets anywhere in the world and the Summertime Sailfish bite is on. The next 4 to 6 weeks will offer some of the best Sailfishing of the year despite popular opinion that you can only catch Sailfish in the winter months. During the winter months Sailfish have a southern migation towards warmer waters and during the summer months they migate to the north looking for cooler waters. The Sailfish aren’t as packed together as they are in the winter so we don’t catch as many doubles and triples but there’s plenty of Sailfish around. You may not catch more than 2 or 3 on most days but the seas are calmer providing a better show when they start tailwalking across the water. The Dolphin fishing slowed a bit this week with the change in winds and most of the fish were on the small size. We did catch one 30 lb dolphin this week but most of the fish were smaller than we’ve been catching the last couple of weeks. The Dolphin fishing will pick back up in a day or two when the winds swing back around and hopefully we’ll find that 40/50 lb Dolphin I’ve been looking for. The Blackfin Tuna haven’t shown up in numbers off Push Button Hill but there’s been a few around so it’s always worth checking it out this time of year. The seas are calm and the fishing is good so give me a call and let’s catch’em up. I’ll be back next week with another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. Catch you later, Capt. Wayne, Reel Busy Charters
