Hi Folks,

Finally the fishing is improving with the increase in the tides. Yesterday we did catch 9 really nice bass and 11 monster blues. The tides are slowly increasing in size and with the increased velocity the rip fishing is improving. Water temperatures continue to be warm, and the sun is bright and that has fish finicky. Fresh bait and light presentation is what is working for me.

There are lots of blues and stripers on the offshore tuna grounds as well. If you are trolling squid bars, be prepared to do some replacing squid, because the bluefish are big and will chew up the bars pretty good. Head off shore further to get out of the bluefish. Its tough, because there are striped bass, bluefish and bluefin tuna all feeding in the same schools on the surface. Its pretty exciting because you never know when a big tuna is going to grab your spinning bait ! The whale show continues with breaching and feeding whales in the same area as the bait and fish. Look at my whale video on Facebook (friend me -bruce peters) for an example of what we have been seeing.

Good Fishing to you,

Bruce & "Marilyn S"
